The company operates Submarine communications cable named Caucasus Cable System (CCS), which was developed in co-operation with Tyko Telecommunications in 2008, it links Balchik (Bulgaria) and Poti (Georgia) and provides high-speed Internet to Georgia. Also, the company resells Internet services to Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran. Caucasus Online has five branches in Tbilisi, and regional branches in Batumi, Rustavi and Kutaisi. Caucasus Online clients can make use of the data center, IP-telephony and IP-TV and, if necessary, contact the service provider using a call center.

Customer growth (as evidenced by the reaction of users on social networking sites and blogs), the increase in power and scope of services, the necessity to ensure reliable and sustainable development of organization and stewardship of its resources, the maturity of corporate culture – all this put on the agenda the question about the necessity of usage of appropriate corporate information high-level system capable to maintain dynamics of growth of the company, to provide controllability of telecommunication business and create prerequisites for retaining leadership position of Caucasus Online.

Caucasus Online decided to use SAP ERP and signed an agreement on right to use SAP software. Successful use practice of SAP systems in telecommunications and examples of successful implementation of SAP solutions in Georgia largely influenced the management's decision on the choice of SAP software for Caucasus Online. The General Director of Caucasus Online Gia Adeishvili said: «Dynamic development of our company requires that all business processes related to the management, were concerted maximally. SAP has really an understanding of our business. We hope that the implementation of the SAP ERP system will help to improve our managerial efficiency and to build a transparent and reliable operation to provide better services to our clients».

For project implementation Caucasus Online invited Soft-Rating Consult (Ukraine), which has successful experience in implementing SAP systems in Georgia. The project frame involves the implementation of such corporate information system services, as financial reporting and planning, internal accounting, controlling, materials management, personnel accounting and payroll, and basic functions.
The project duration is 10 months and as of November Soft-Rating Consult in cooperation with specialists from Caucasus Online started business blueprint.

The project is an important step to bringing the Georgian telecommunication business to international standards of corporate governance, and it will ensure the reliability of business management to provide Internet services to citizens of Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran.
